Wood cultivation using unconventional waters


The head of the country's Forest and Rangeland Research Institute said: Research studies on wood cultivation using unconventional waters have been conducted in 10 metropolitan areas of the country. Adel Jalili said about wood cultivation in the country: Wood and paper industries in Iran have a high capacity and this creates good employment and added value.

He said that the wood industry in the country is currently operating at a lower capacity, and also added that: If we can supply the raw materials for these industries, this industry will have a high economic value. He also mentioned that: In the last three years, various projects have been implemented for poplar planting in the country and the study was made on its production.

Jalili emphasized that: About wood cultivation using unconventional waters in 10 metropolitan cities, including Tehran, Tabriz, Karaj, Mashhad, Ahvaz and Rasht, the necessary studies have been conducted. The head of the country's Forest and Rangeland Research Institute, after emphasizing on the potential of river boundaries areas in the north and northwest, has mentioned: The high capacity of agriculture in rainfed conditions, which is mainly in northern Iran, including Gilan and in some parts of Mazandaran, has been studied and the result was that wood cultivation in these areas can be implemented in empty and destroyed areas. He mentioned the development of eucalyptus planting in Khuzestan province as one of the other projects studied in this institute.
