The CEO of the parent company of the Fund for Supporting the Development of Investment in the Agricultural Sector announced the achievements of the Rural Women's Funds with the guidance of financial resources in the development of agricultural and rural activities in the country.
According to the information centre of the Ministry of Jihad-Agriculture, quoted from Public Relations and International Affairs of the parent company, Seyyed Abdol-kareem Ardekani in a meeting, with the presence of Adviser to the Minister on Women's Affairs and Director General of the Office for the Development of Agricultural Activities for Rural and Nomadic Women, and 19 representatives of the parent company and CEOs of Rural and Nomadic Women's Agricultural Activities Development Funds, which was held via video-conference told: Funds to support the development of agricultural activities for rural and nomadic women have benefited from education and empowerment, legal capacity, and the transfer of experience to each other.
In this video conference, he discussed the performance report for 2019 and presented the program for 2020 and the activities made regarding corona disease, then stated: Rural Women's Funds, during Coronavirus outbreak and the shortage of health items and equipment needed, and increasing demand for hospital masks and insulating clothing, good measures have been taken by a number of its shareholders in collaboration with various hospitals and donors to produce masks, and hospital uniforms in different villages and cities of the country.
Forough Sadat Bani Hashem, Advisor to the Minister of Jihad-Agriculture on Women's Affairs and Director General of the Office for the Development of Agricultural Activities for Rural and Nomadic Women, also spoke at the meeting. She told that: Funds to support the development of agricultural activities for rural and nomadic women
are a valuable symbol of the formation of public institutions by rural and nomadic women in the field of development and prosperity of the country. Thus, it is necessary to meet the legal requirements and obtain health licenses from the relevant authorities to supply those health-related products of the shareholders to the market.
She also added that: In order to reflect and transfer the successful experiences of rural and nomadic women's funds, effective and efficient activities, including dealing with the outbreak of coronavirus, must be developed and documented.
In this meeting, after presenting the performance report, issues and problems of the Funds for Supporting the Development of Rural and Nomadic Women's Activities by the CEOs of these funds, the process of increasing and strengthening capital in the mentioned funds, was reviewed and discussed.
