Iran-Turkey joint brand in saffron processing and packaging


According to the information center of the Ministry of Jihad-Agriculture, quoted by the public relations of the Central Organization of Rural Cooperatives of Iran, Dr. Hossein Shirzad, in a meeting with a Turkish delegation of senior managers and heads of the Turkish Agricultural Unions (NCTU), he said: The Rural Cooperative Central Organization and its network of specialized and specialized trade unions can easily enter into bilateral agreements, establish trade commodity trading lanes, and open joint credit lines through trusted banks, and expand economic transactions, and launch a win-win game with the participation of both countries.

Director of the Central Organization of Rural Cooperatives, after mentioning that Iran has historically and climatically favored some crops such as saffron and has about 90% of the world's saffron production in terms of volume, added: Launching Iran-Turkey Joint Brand for Saffron Processing and Packaging can provide great mutual benefits and is a useful commercial solution.

He recalled the joint membership of Iran and Turkey in the International Cooperation Association (ICA) and the International Principles of Cooperation and mentioned that: Co-operatives of Iran and Turkey can jointly launch a profitable business in the field of agricultural commodities exchange and establishment of a secure logistics corridor for the transfer of Turkish products to Central Asia.

He also added that: cumin, poultry milk, and barberry are other Iranian products that can be exported to Turkey through Iranian cooperatives.
