The wheat project manager said: In the last seven years, the increase in agricultural production has been due to increased productivity.

Adviser to the Minister of Jihad-Agriculture and implementer of wheat project said: the policy of the Ministry of Jihad-Agriculture is to improve productivity in all agricultural sectors.

He also mentioned that: The development of the provinces in the new improved and certified wheat cultivars and the major part of the production is due to the researchers and seed producers.

Esfandyari also added that: Failure to control pathogens, pests and weeds can cause up to 50% damage to wheat.
