According to the information center of the Ministry of Jihad-Agriculture, quoted by ISNA, Mahmoud Hojjati added, on the sidelines of visiting shrimp sites in Jask, Shrimp breeding in the year 2011 was close to 12 thousand tons, reaching nearly 50 thousand tons in 2018.

 He also added that: We are rapidly investing in shrimp farming around the country. Hojjati pointed out that there are good markets like China and Vietnam, adding that, on the other hand, Russia and the Gulf countries are other good markets for Iran.

Minister of Agriculture continued: In the past, we had problems with diseases and the production chain, which thankfully manufacturing chain has been developed in the country, and we have come to good experiences and have come to the ways of dealing with diseases.
